Faiq Haddad, an Iraqi American Artist based in Houston, Texas. Originally from Baghdad, Iraq, he holds a degree in Law from the Lebanese University and is an expert in Oriental Rugs and Antiques
His talent was first discovered amidst the Iraqi war and political conflicts of the 1980s,He started using art as an escape from the stressful political and unstable reality to a more beautiful environment he constructed mentally filled with color, imagination, and positivity. He never stopped painting since.
In 2006, Haddad held his first solo exhibition, “From Baghdad with Love”, in Beirut, Lebanon. He then followed by displaying his work at numerous art exhibits and prestigious venues such as The UNESCO Palace. In 2009, he established his art gallery, “LARSA”, in Beirut, Lebanon, where he housed his solo exhibition “Art Spaces”. This exhibit was then held at The UNSCO Palace in 2010.
In 2013, Haddad moved to the United States with his family where he pursued his passion for art. He displayed his work at the “Spirituality of Art” at The Fine and Folk Art Carolina Gallery in North Carolina, followed by a subsequent exhibition, "Immersion", in Houston, Texas.
Faiq continues to spend his time expressing himself in the fine details of color and beautiful art.
